My new work has recently transitioned from imagery that was set within the armature of a bouquet to examine the balance between the physical properties of the paint and the visceral representation of the image.

In this new work I have relinquished the connection to any figurative representation in favor of a non-objective approach to the image while continuing to pursue my interest in the physical qualities of paint, the dynamic of a compressed, central space and making images that are evocative and intimate.

I work intuitively. The act of painting informs the development of the image.
